Safety Instructions

• Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do not belong in the hands of children. Children may not play with the device. 
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision. 
• The device may only be used with the stated voltage: Solar head unit: 1 x 1.2V AA Ni-MH rechargeable battery Battery operated head unit: 3 x 1.5V AA battery
• Repairs may only be made with original spare parts to avoid serious damage. If original parts are not used the device can become dangerous and warranty and CE become invalid.
• It must be determined if the device is suitable for the respective use. 
• The device may only be used by children over eight years and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or the lack of knowledge or experience, if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device by a person responsible for their safety and have understood the dangers resulting out of the use.
• Please make sure that the device is positioned in such a way that it does not become a tripping hazard.

WARNING! Risk of explosion if rechargeable batteries are inserted incorrectly

Use of Batteries in the Battery operated head:

• Do not open batteries, throw them into fire, or swallow them. 
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries. 
• Remove rechargeable batteries from the device before charging. Do not mix different battery types as well as used and new batteries. 
• Observe correct polarity. 
• Empty batteries must be removed from the device and disposed of safely. 
• Remove batteries if the product is not used for a longer period of time.
• Do not short-circuit the battery contacts. 
• Only use batteries of the same type. 
• In the event of leaking batteries, avoid contact with skin and eyes. 
• In case of contact, rinse the affected areas with plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.

Use of rechargeable batteries in the solar head:

• Do not open, disassemble, mechanically damage, throw into fire, or swallow rechargeable batteries. 
• ATTENTION – RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION: Never insert non-rechargeable batteries (e.g. alkaline) into the device! The integrated solar panel automatically charges inserted cells when exposed to light. Charging primary batteries leads to uncontrolled leakage or explosions. Only use rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries (Ni-MH). 
• The rechargeable batteries are charged directly in the device via the solar panel and must not be removed from the device for the normal solar charging process. 
• Do not mix different battery types, capacities, or used and new batteries. Only use batteries of the same type. 
• When inserting, observe the correct polarity (+/-) according to the markings in the battery compartment. 
• Empty or defective batteries must be removed from the device immediately and disposed of safely and separately from household waste via official collection points. Remove batteries if the product is not used for a longer period of time or stored in a dark place to prevent harmful deep discharge. 
• Do not short-circuit battery contacts. 
• In the event of leaking batteries, avoid any contact of the liquid with skin and eyes. 
• In case of contact, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clear water and seek medical attention without delay. 
• Protect the device and its batteries from extreme overheating (e.g. by placing them behind car windows in the blazing sun).
