Safety Instructions

• Electrical appliances, packaging materials, etc. do not belong in the hands of children. 
• If repairs are needed, only original spare parts may be used to avoid serious damage. 
• It must be determined if the device is suitable for the respective use. 
• The use of this device is not designed for use by persons (including children under 8 years) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or the lack of experience or lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed in the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety. 
• People who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy may experience epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights. If the following symptoms occur during operation: dizziness, blurred vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, any involuntary movement or convulsion, the light should be immediately turned off or the person should leave the area. 
• Make sure that only rechargeable batteries are used. Do not use standard batteries! The use of standard batteries may cause an explosion and destroy the device. 
• If you do not use the device for an extended period of time, remove the batteries and store them accordingly. 
• Rechargeable battery should not be used if the temperature is under 0 °C. They may become damaged and lose the capacity.

Important information regarding rechargeable batteries and solar operation

• Do not open, disassemble, mechanically damage, crush, throw into fire, or swallow rechargeable batteries.
• ATTENTION – RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION: Never insert ordinary non-rechargeable batteries (e.g. alkaline 1.5 V) or unsuitable battery types (e.g. Ni-MH 1.2 V) into the device! Only use rechargeable lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) in Mignon format (AA) with the exact specification 3.2 V / 500 mAh. 
• The rechargeable batteries are charged directly in the device via the solar panel and must not be removed from the device for the normal solar charging process. 
• Do not mix different battery types, capacities, or used and new batteries. Only use batteries of the same type and specification. When inserting, observe the correct polarity (+/-) according to the markings in the battery compartment. Empty or defective batteries must be removed from the device immediately and disposed of safely and separately from unsorted municipal waste (household waste) via official collection points. 
• Remove batteries if the product is not used for a longer period of time or stored in a dark place to prevent harmful deep discharge. 
• Do not short-circuit battery contacts. 
• In the event of damaged or leaking batteries, avoid any contact of the liquid with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clear water and seek medical attention without delay. 
• Protect the device and its batteries from extreme heat, fire, moisture, and mechanical damage.
